A man named Ramaashray Patel, was suffering from Chikungunya and was failing to stand upon his feets;
He met our Village Coordinators at his doorsteps while Distributing Medicine of such Diseases at District Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. He went through the whole process of the Medicine provided by Atharv’s Community Health Care Program and has recovered by all the Problems.
In fact he is now going to have Morning Walk of 5 Kms per Day in order to make him fit. He can now take cares of his family and his agricultural fields too.
Ramaashray told he was dreaming death and no hopes were left for recovering from the situation. He recognised Distributed Medicines as “Sbhi Marjon ka Raam Baan” to the Medicines given by Atharv Welfare Society.
He took a Good Stand in Distributing Medicines to the Villagers as well.
Story of the day
“My husband passed away when I was just 19 years old. I was his second wife, as his first wife left him due to his violent behavior. He died due to liver failure as he was a heavy drinker. He had just turned 45. He would always remain angry with me. Why? Because I never gave him my hard earned money to spend on alcohol. I had the responsibility to feed the little stomach of my 2-year-old son. Since he was physically more powerful than me, he would beat me to death to get the money hidden by me. To be honest, his being alive or dead didn't make much difference.
Things are different today. I am 78 years now. I have lost most of my eyesight. The only thing that I can feel is the love of my grand daughter. There are many unsaid things I haven't shared with my husband. When I meet him in heaven, I will describe to him the meaning of Love.’
(We are glad to have met Snehlata during one of the medical camps in the slum clusters of Delhi. She now receives regular free doorstep healthcare under our programme Smile on Wheels.
